Through its work, the purpose of this department is to develop and implement the program of reinforcing the humanitarian values and the RRC activities aiming at improving the living conditions of vulnerable people inside the country. The Communications responsibilities are:

• Make known to the public and beneficiaries of national society’s activities, the principles and the fundamental values of the RRC.

• Dissemination of International Humanitarian Law, amongst the youth, journalists, and the national society’s committees.

• Work with media to inform the mass, national partners as well as international about the RRC activities to improve the living conditions of vulnerable people.

• Raise awareness amongst users of Red Cross emblems about their legal use and the promotion of International humanitarian law.

• Contribute to the promotion of good relations between the RRC and its partners.
